Lacanau – Ocean is one of the oldest seaside resorts in Gironde, which is famous for its surf competitions such as Lacanau Pro in August.
There are, as in Soulac-sur Mer, villas of Belle Epoque.
In Lacanau, there is also a preserved lake and a golf course.
