Marais de la Perge :

Near the Chesnays campsite, the Marais de la Perge offers 10 km of stroll through marshes formerly grazed where we discover forest groves and large meadows or reed beds. Be observant to see the tons of duck hunting! it’s a real immersion in nature …

Sentier dunaire :

From Soulac sur Mer, discover the dune flora and fauna during a walk of 30 to 45 minutes.

Soulac:

Soulac is a family-friendly sea resort with a market that’s open every morning in July and August, 7km of unspoilt beaches and countless woodland paths. There are over 500 stunning 19th century holiday villas to explore.

Le Moulin de Vensac :

An authentic nineteenth century windmill that still produces flour at every visit. Awarded in 1985 for the Antenna 2 “Masterpieces in Danger” competition for its restoration and operation.

Ferme aquacole : A Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc

The aquaculturist of the Ferme du Eau Médoc gives you the secret of his know-how! The guided tour ends with tasting the subtle flavors of quality seafood.

La Petite Canau

You can also discover “La Petite Canau” which is a marine farm of 45 ha, practicing the farming of prawns (certified “Bio”) and oyster ripening.

Le Phare de Richard

Be sure to stop at the Phare de Richard lighthouse for panoramic views of the estuary with the Charente banks to the right and the “Dutch polders” to the left.

Talais

A small village typical of the Medoc, we discover small fishermen’s cabins where you can enjoy oysters, prawns and other specialties.

Port de Goulée , Valeyrac :

Valeyrac is a charming little village on the edge of the estuary. You can stroll through the traditional fishing huts of Port de Goulée. Valeyrac, it is also but especially the entry of the Médoc vineyard with famous castles which deserve a stop for a tasting.

Phare de Cordouan:

Don’t miss the Phare de Cordouan, the only lighthouse in the open sea that’s open to the general public. Access to the so-called “Versailles of the Sea” is subject to tide times and ratios that change every day. You can visit it on board La Bohême from Le Verdon (45 minute journey). Enjoy incredible views of the Gironde and Pointe de Grave after walking up 311 steps to the lantern.
